Description

Tsubaki Camellia Oil – Rust Protector & Honing Oil is a premium, low-viscosity natural oil blend cherished by Japanese craftsmen for centuries. It protects steel surfaces from corrosion while serving as a smooth, effective honing oil for sharpening stones. Completely odorless, non-greasy, and non-toxic, this versatile oil is ideal for both knife maintenance and precision sharpening.

Available Variants

  • 100 ml precision bottle with dropper for detailed application
  • 245 ml spray bottle for convenient, even coverage

Notes

  • Safe for all steel tools, knives, and fine cutting instruments.
  • Can also be used as a gentle conditioner for clean, unglazed tool handles or wood surfaces.
  • Made in Japan – trusted quality for traditional and modern sharpening systems alike.
How to use

Sharpening Stones

  • Clean old metal residue and debris from the stone surface before use.
  • Stabilize the stone securely on a flat, non-slip base.
  • Apply a few drops or a light spray to create a thin, even film—avoid oversaturation.
  • Sharpen the blade at a consistent angle with uniform pressure, reapplying oil as needed.
  • After sharpening, wipe off the slurry and oil; clean the stone thoroughly to prevent clogging.

Knives

  • Ensure the blade is clean and dry before application.
  • Apply a small amount of oil with the dropper or spray lightly on the blade.
  • Spread evenly with a soft cloth to form a thin protective layer.
  • Reapply after sharpening, washing, or before long-term storage—especially for high-carbon steel.
