Like others before me , i would have liked the glass a little bigger , but for yhe price all in all they are nice . Glad a bought a few as with the larger grit SIC the glass gets quickly scratched up. It did what I needed it to do , so thats the important part. Shipping was great and the packing was excellent. Description
Hapstone Lapping Glass is a high-quality 200x200x4mm stone-leveling mirror with rubber feet preventing any unwanted slipping while in use. Its sides are meticulously ground. This mirror proves invaluable when leveling stones with silicon carbide powder. We recommend using a designated mirror for each particle size fraction to prevent cross-contamination.
How to use
To use the lapping glass, wet the surface of the glass, but don't pool any water. Lightly sprinkle the desired powder grit evenly across the surface. Pre soak your stones if necessary, then mark the surface of the stone with a grid pattern in pencil. Lap with even pressure using an X pattern until pencil marks are removed.

Nice and inexpensive but a little small for 6 inch edge pro style stones. I bought this specifically because it's compact for storage but it's a little smaller than I'd like. I guess I didn't account for how large my figure eight movements get when I'm bored after 10 minutes of careful stone flattening. I think this would be fantastic for 4 inch KME format stones or for people who are slow and methodical in their lapping, but I found myself wishing it were 2 inches wider and longer. Still perfectly serviceable if compact is important to you.
