I added the 1700 and 4000 edge pro stones to my TsProf Kadet pro kit, these stones compliment the TsProf 5 stone kit perfectly, these two stones bring the knife edge to polished sharpness without stropping. The stones bring a buttery smoothness as feedback allowing good pressure control.
The price seems appropriate for the reputation of quality of the product.

Best stones I have ever used!

The 450 grit is a great addition to my Edge Pro Diamond Matrix set. It really helps refine the edge between the 250 and 650 grit.

I have purchased many sets of diamond stones and the Diamond Matrix stones are by far my favorite. They are easy to work with and they cut well. And as you progress you finish with a mirror polish.
They are well worth the price.

VERY VERY nice stones with amazing feel and finish! These take very little pressure to do serious work even on extremely hard Maxamet. I don’t have the lower grit stones yet so I started the reprofile (set the bevel at 15° per side) with my TSProf diamond plates. Once I got to the medium grit range I started with my 650 diamond matrix and progressed to the 1100 and finally the 2300. The feel of these is so nice and they glide so smooth with just a dab of soapy water. They work very fast and leave a very fine scratch pattern that’s easy to polish up to a VERY high polished edge (looks like a mirror!). Even after the 2300 it was getting a very very shiny edge and was screaming sharp (the 650 was easily hair popping sharp and still had a nice tooth to it but I like a really polished edge on Maxamet so I went all out on it). After the 2300 I went to my Spyderco ultra fine stone (the 6” mounted on a plate) because I don’t have the 4000 grit edge pro stone yet. That got it shining super clear and bright due to the very nice and mild scratch pattern left by the edge pro stones.

Great value, easy to maintain, awesome cutting and finishing.

Considerably more expensive than the diamonds that came with the TSPROF, but worth every penny IMO. Unbelievably nice.

I bought a 2300 and a 4000-grit Edge Pro Diamond Matrix hone from Gritomatic. These diamond matrix hones cut fast, and by following the proper grit progression and not skipping grits, these hones will give a mirror shine to the edge in no time. I have not examined the scratch pattern of the 4000-grit Edge Pro Diamond Matrix under a microscope, but to my naked eyes, the mirror shine produced by the 4000-grit Edge Pro Diamond Matrix stone is equivalent to that from my 12000-grit Sharpton Pro bench stone.
These diamond matrix hones load up quickly, but cleaning them with a paper towel and water during a sharpening session restores the cutting action. For more serious cleaning between sharpening sessions, I use a Japanese rubber eraser rust eraser. The rubber eraser contains mild abrasives and is very effective and gentle on the stone.
These Edge Pro Diamond Matrix stones are not cheap, but the great results and cutting speed are undeniable. These stones are very cost-effective in the long run. Depending on how gently they are cleaned, my 2300-grit and 4000-grit diamond matrix stones will probably last through hundreds of sharpening sessions, possibly even thousands of knives, before they wear out. The only thing to be careful of is not letting the knife tip gouge the stone. My diamond matrix hones have a few deep scratches from contacting the knife tips at the wrong angle.
