Description

Dota Creek Arkansas sharpening stones are used for sharpening knives on KME and Hapstone knife sharpeners. The estimated grit for Dota Creek is #5000.

Dota Creek is part of the Arkansas stone collection made by Jonathan Coe: Mountain View (Coarse), Bethesda Black (Medium), Dota Creek (Fine) and Arkansas Grey Polisher (Ultra Fine).

Arkansas stones are mined in the Ouachita Mountains in the state of Arkansas in the United States. Arkansas stones are made of novaculite, a naturally abrasive material of high density. Arkansas stones consist of silica, but unlike synthetic abrasives, do not consist of individual abrasive grains of the same size. Arkansas quartz structure consists of fused crystal grains of different sizes.

Dota Creek is preliminarily lapped and does not require lapping after purchase. Dota Creek stones should be used with water or oil as a lubricant.

Dota Creek stones may have a color pattern, slight natural imperfections, and inclusions.
